Three Inch Square Box - Cupcake Holder

This could be used as a small gift box (3") or as a cupcake holder.  There is actually a cupcake holder in the base made with card stock.  I had so much fun decorating it and designing the outside of it.   I made the Ruffled Flower with the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch.  Here's a video on how to make the flower.

My Friend Stamp Set, item #122585 – Wood Mount OR item #122587 – Clear Mount

Directions:

1. Score Wild Wasabi piece of card stock at 4 ¼” and crisply fold.

2.  Gently rub the embossing buddy over the Very Vanilla Card Stock.   Tap off to remove excess powder if any.

1. Stamp My Friend in upper right corner using Wild Wasabi Classic Ink.
2. Stamp floral design in VersaMark Ink, then on the card stock

                                                               i.      Dust liberally with Wild Wasabi or Clear Embossing Power – tap off excess

                                                             ii.      Heat set

                                                            iii.      If you used clear, you will sponge Wild Wasabi Classic Ink over the image then wipe off with a tissue or soft cloth.

                                                           iv.      If you used Wild Wasabi, you have completed the design.

3. Attach to the card front using SNAIL.

Tri-Fold Card With Dyed Rhinestones Tutorial

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

Pool Party Card Stock, item #122924 – 1 piece 5 ½ x 8 ½”, 1 piece 4 ¼” x 5 ½”

Island Indigo Card Stock, item #122923 – 2 pieces  1 ¾” x 5”, 1 piece 4 ¼” x 5 ½”

Just Add Cake DSP, item #124339 – 2 pieces 1 ¼” x 4 ½”

Jewels – Basic Rhinestone, item #119246 OR Jewels – Basic Pearls, item #119247 (5 of the one you use)

Doily Triple Layer Punch, item #122465

SNAIL Adhesive, item #104332

2 Way Glue Pen, item #100425

Sharpie Permanent Markers (non-Stampin’ Up! Item) – 5 colors of choice

Directions:

1.       Color your rhinestones or pearls with the Sharpie Permanent Markers … set aside to dry.

2.       Score the piece of Pool Party Card Stock (5 ½” x 8 ½”) at 2 1/8” and at 6 3/8”.

a.       Crisply fold with bone folder.

3.       Using SNAIL adhesive center and attach the side panels (Island Indigo, then Just Add Cake)

4.       Punch out 5 of the layer #3 setting in Pool Party Card Stock (use 4 ¼” x 5 ½” piece of card stock.

a.       Punch out 5 of the layer #1 setting in Island Indigo Card Stock (use 4 ¼” x 5 ½” piece of card stock.

b.      Using 2 Way Glue Pen, line up and attach layer #1 to the back of layer #d.

c.       Using SNAIL attach 4 of them  to top and bottom of panels.

d.      Using SNAIL on one side of the back ONLY attach to left side of card.

e.      Attach rhinestones or pearls.

5.       Stamp sentiment inside of card if you would like.

Hello Doily - Card Sample #3 (Tone on Tone)

 Another use of the Hello, Doily Stamp.   The card base is Wisteria Wonder, item #122923, and I used Concord Crush Classic Ink, item #119785 to stamp the image.   The center flower is a Flower Brad-Regals, item #119731.   I clipped the brad prongs with wire clippers so it would lay flat on the design.  I then attached it to the design using two Glue Dots, item #103683.    A sentiment could be easily added to the front of this card.

Hello Doily - Card Sample #2

 This is an A2 card - Borders on the sides and panels are layered overlapping each other.

 Card on the top is today's card.   Card on the bottom is the card from yesterday.  I wanted to show you a comparison of size and design.

When making today's card I layered the outside panels first .. they are glued flat to the card/border.  The center panel overlapped the side panels and is upraised with dimensionals.

Hello Doily - Card Sample #1

Layers, shadows, and accents add to the look of this card using Hello, Doily Stamp.  Whisper White Card Stock and Concord Crush Card Stock and Classic ink are the colors used.   This card is a 5" x 7".  I put each panel on dimensionals to raise them up from the card base.   The borders were created using the Lace Ribbon Border Punch.

Happiest Birthday Wishes Stamp Set

My husband's birthday was on Sunday.  I wanted a clean and simple card for him.  We had a wonderful day together, and then were taken out to dinner by a dear friend.   We also celebrated on Friday night with friends too - I even baked a Funfetti cake for that night which is Hal's favorite cake.

Hello, Doily - New Stamp WOW Plus New MDS Downloads

 Have you ever seen a stamp or stamp set in our Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog and knew the minute you saw it, it was one you had to have?   That is just how I felt about this stamp - Hello, Doily.   I cannot believe how intricate and delicate the design is.   This was stamped with Concord Crush Classic Ink on Whisper White Card Stock.   It truly has the WOW factor.


Imagine all that you could do with this stamp ... 
1.  It could be the focal point on a card.
2.  You could use it as a background stamp to make your own Designer Series Paper.
3.  You could stamp it, then cut it out and use it as an overlay piece.
4.  You could use some or all of it as an accent to another design element on your card or scrapbook page.

Can you think of any other ideas?  I have seen this embossed with white embossing powder on a deep rich color of card stock.   On that card the embossing looked like a hand crocheted doily.   I can't wait to use it for some cards.

Some tips when using this stamp:
1.  The stamp block is almost 6" square.   I put the stamp on its back and used a brayer to ink it.   This gives a much more even distribution of ink.  Then I laid my card stock down on the stamp, put a protective sheet of paper over it and either use my hand or a clean brayer to go over the complete design.   Lift straight up and off when you are finished.
2.  To clean the stamp I misted it with Stampin' Mist and then used paper towels to clean up the ink and mist.   Worked well and was easy to do with the stamp (wood side down) on the counter.

Card Using Baker's Twine Flowers

 Yesterday I showed you my Baker's Twine wrapped flowers.  Today I have them on a card.   They have been attached using Dimensionals so they are not flat on the card.   I also sponged the edges of the card with Island Indigo Classic Ink.

Baker's Twine Flowers

My bouquet of flowers.

Top row is the front side, bottom row is the back. 

I wanted to show you the threading/wrapping I did after punching a hole in the center of the scallop circle.  I secured the twine ends with small pieces of scotch tape.
