Expression of Love Cards - Inspiration - Challenge

Love is all around and in so many forms. There is love for your spouse, your children, your friends, and your pets. So I thought I would "share the love" today with two cards that I made:

This is a layered card using 4 main colors: Mellow Moss, Rich Razzleberry, Dusty Durango, and Whisper White Card Stock.

Love You Much Stamp Set (item #113756)

I used the new IN COLOR Stampin' Markers to color in the LOVE and the Eyelet Border Punch to accent the Whisper White Card Stock.

Ribbon is Rich Razzleberry 1/2" Polka-Dot Grograin Ribbon.

Snail Adhesive to attach pieces together.

Isn't this a great card to send to you that special person to let them know you love them.

In my last post, I did a tutorial on the Bride Speciality Paper Brayer Technique. I was so pleased with the outcome, I just had to try it again. This time using the stripe paper and Taken With Teal Classic Ink. Also a very small piece of the filgree paper in the Bride Specialty Paper Pack. Here's a link to the technique:

The card is a mix of Sahara Sand, Whisper White, and the Bride Specialty Paper. I accented the Sahara Sand and Whisper White Card Stock with the Platinum Shimmer Paint. The shimmer paint was added using a dauber. I used a brayer to color the Bride Specialty Paper with Taken With Teal Classic Ink.

Bride Specialty Paper (item #115669)

D is For Dog Stamp Set (item #115784).

Thought this is a perfect card for someone who loves dogs, don't you! Also like this card because it wasn't too frilly, so could be given to a man or woman easily.

My challenge to you is to make a card to "share some love". Feel free to post and let me know what you created. Would love to see your creations too.

Challenge Update - Pony Party Picture Magnet

The challenge yesterday was to use a product you had at home but hadn't used yet. I decided to use the Stampin' Up! stamp set called Pony Party (item #115217).

Decided that it would be fun to make this a tiny design/picture. I used the Stampin' Up! watercolor crayons and the blender pen to color the images on our watercolor paper. Added a bit of glitter glue to accent the wings. I used the Stampin' Marker to hand draw in the grass. Attached using SNAIL adhesive to Pumpkin Pie card stock. The Pumpkin Pie paper was accented with Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Ribbon and Filigree Brad. All were attached to a 4" coaster. Using the Crop-A-Dile (LOVE IT) I was able to punch a hole thru the ribbon, card stock and the coaster so that the Filigree Brad could be attached all the way thru. Then using SNAIL adhesive attached another piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock to cover the brad end and ends of the ribbon that was wrapped around the paper and coaster. The final step was to attach a magnetic strip (the kind you can cut with a pair of scissors).

I thought it was so cute, and am very pleased with the results. It currently has a place of honor on our refrigerator here at home. It was fun to use a coaster too to add a new element that I had not used before.

Challenge - Use An Item You Haven't Used Before

I thought it would be fun to post a challenge today. I know all of us (me included) have items that they just had to have, rushed to buy it, and then have it sitting on the counter, in the closet, in our craft bin and have not used it yet.

So my challenge to all of you is to get that item out and USE it, then leave me a comment on what you made with it. Can't wait to see.

I'm going to take the challenge too. I purchased the Stampin' Up! Pony Party Stamp Set (item #115217) last month, mounted it and then got side tracked so haven't used it yet. So this will be the stamp set I will use tomorrow and then will post what I made. I posted a photo of it at the beginning of this blog entry. Isn't it cute!!!
