Wedding Card with Champagne Glimmer Paper

Did you notice the new Champagne color Glimmer Paper, item #127885, in the Holiday Mini Catalog?  It is on page 18 of the mini.  I thought all the shimmer and sparkle was perfect for a wedding card or for a golden wedding anniversary.   The Glimmer Paper is the perfect addition to any card for a celebration.

It comes in 3 color choices:
Champagne, item #127885
Red, item #121790
Silver, item #124005

Each package contains 2 sheets that are 12 x 12.

I used the Oval Accent BigZ Clear Die, item #127005 to cut out the background piece of Glimmer Paper.   The heart was created using the Heart Collection Framelits, item #125599, and the tiny stars were punched out using Punch Pack called Merry Minis, item #126882.

Timeless Love MDS2 Card

Being that we are big fans of the VW Beetle, I thought this would be a perfect card for my husband.   I made it using MDS2 (My Digital Studio 2).   This card front is 100% digital.  I will print it out on my color printer as a card front.  Then I will attach the card front to my card base.

Another option would be to create the rest of the card (inside and back), then have it professionally printed by Stampin' Up!

Here's the Stampin' Up! Digital Products I used:

Thoughts of You Card Sample

Today's card uses the very similar design to the card from yesterday.  However it creates a totally different look.   I used a square instead of a rectangle for the background and used the same colors, stamp set, card stock, and framelits.  With the framelits, I created a floral border that allows the design to show thru from the square underneath.  This card could be used for a sympathy, thinking of you, love and so much more.

Stampin' Up! Products Used:
DSP (Designer Series Paper) - Floral District, item #126919
Floral Frames Framelits, item #127012.
1" Square paper punch, item #124094
Loving Thoughts Stamp Set, item #125843 in Wood OR #125845 in Clear.
Very Vanilla card stock - item #101650,
Lucky Limeade card stock - item #122926
Stampin' Dimensionals - item #104430

Layered Memories Card

I had lots of fun creating this card yesterday using Stampin' Up! products.   I wanted a mix of fun and elegance.   This card could be used for a sympathy, thinking of you, love and so much more.   I was especially pleased how the DSP (Designer Series Paper) created scallops for my green accent piece that I cut out with the Floral Frames Framelits, item #127012.   The DSP is Floral District, item #126919.   The center square was cut out using a 1" Square paper punch, item #124094.   If you would like rounded corners on your squares and rectangles, why not use our 3/16" Corner Paper Punch, item #119871.   The stamp set for this card is Loving Thoughts, item #125843 in Wood OR #125845 in Clear.

The layering of the Very Vanilla card stock - item #101650, Floral District DSP - #126919 and Lucky Limeade card stock - item #122926 add to the beauty of this card.  Stampin' Dimensionals - item #104430 were added under the center flower and the sentiment for depth to the card.

If you wanted to take it up a notch more, why not add in an embellishment to the very center such as a brad, jewel, or button of your choice.    The edges of the card base and sentiment could be sponged with classic ink also.

Heart Full Of Flowers - Anniversary Card

Patty Bennett, I want to thank you for the inspiration for the heart filled with flowers.   When I saw your heart card on your blog the other day, I knew I had to try the heart myself.

The card is made completely using My Digital Studio.   Stampin' Up! released new designs this last week which included the Soft Blooms, item #130080.  It  has 30 different floral embellishments in it in numerous colors and designs.   It was so easy to create this beautiful heart to add to my card base in My Digital Studio.

For this type of card, often I will print the card front on photo quality paper here at home then attach it to a card stock base.   Stampin' Up! tho, thru My Digital Studio, offers professional printing of our cards.   When I have a card printed thru Stampin' Up!, I have the outside, inside (up to two parts) and the back of the card that I can design.   When I receive it from Stampin' Up!, it is printed on quality paper and comes with an envelope for mailing.

You may order from my Stampin' Up! website 24/7 by CLICKING HERE, then click on Shop Now or by contacting me directly. My e-mail link is at the top of the screen.

Using Fleurettes II on Cards

Are you wondering what Fleurettes II are?   They are handmade crocheted flowers to add a delicate touch to any project.   You can dye them with our Class Ink to create flowers to coordinate with Stampin' Up!'s exclusive colors.  For my cards below, I accented them with a Flower Brad and added color using the Stampin' Write Marker.

Fleurettes II, item #115604
12 Flowers to a package (4 ea of 3 flowers ... sizes are 1", 1 1/4", and 1 1/2")

Flower Brads are available in 4 color sets.  They are approximately 1/2" and there are 48 in each container (8 ea of 6 colors)
Brights, item #119734
Subtles, item #119732
Regals, item #119731
Neutrals, item #119730

Once the brad was in place, I attached the Fleurettes with dimensionals to my card.

Wedding Card Using My Digital Studio

When I saw the bicycle built for two silhouette yesterday on the newest downloads for My Digital Studio, I knew I had to have it.  Then I immediately sat down and created this card in My Digital Studio.

I immediately thought of the song we sang as kids ... "Daisy Bell - A Bicycle Built for Two"
(if you click on the link ... there is music playing)
Daisy, Daisy,
Give me your answer do!
I'm half crazy,
All for the love of you!
It won't be a stylish marriage,
I can't afford a carriage
But you'll look sweet upon the seat
Of a bicycle made for two.

It's funny I thought that the song was just that.  It turns out that this is the chorus and there are actually three verses.

25th Wedding Anniversary AND My Digital Studio Downloads

Twenty-five years ago I married the love of my life.   Seems impossible how quickly the years have flown by.   We actually met on a cruise to Alaska and had a whirlwind courtship getting engaged 3 weeks later and married 3 months after that.

 1/11/1987 - Our wedding day

1/7/2012 - Anniversary party with a few friends.

This beautiful bouquet (all silk) was presented to us at the restaurant.  Our friends, Pat & Lin, from New York ordered it as a surprise for us.   We all thought the flowers were real!!!  I have allergies, so silk flowers are the perfect choice.   Even my wedding bouquet and head piece were silk.

The latest My Digital Studio Downloads are now available.  Click HERE.

Designer Cuts - Card & Envelope Set

Hal and I are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this week.   We have received so many beautiful cards.   I thought I would share this one with you from our friends MaryT & Nick.      The card showcases some of the new Stampin' Up! products so thought it would be fun to share.

Mary took the cover of the Designer Cuts Card and attached it to the green card stock, adding in a heart, some ribbon, and some lace ribbon.  I love the intricate designs and backing them with a color just makes the heart pop.   Designer Cuts Card Set have a design which is laser-cut and the cards come with coordinating Blushing Bride envelopes.  There are 8 cards total -- 4 each of 2 designs.   Card are 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and Envelopes are 4 3/8" x 5 3/4".

Stampin' Up! Products:
Cards & Envelope Set - Designer Cuts, item #125414   (4 each of 2 designs)
Ribbon of choice
Victoria 5/8" crochet trim, item #118481

A few of us met for dinner on Saturday night.   We to a Japanese restaurant with Teppan Tables (where they cook in front of you).   The company and food was wonderful.

Hal and I are big fans of "Angry Birds" and this Angry Birds Rio cake was a perfect way to add to the celebration with the love birds on top.   Cake was so yummy with chocolate cake, cherry filling, and buttercream frosting.

I just couldn't give up the birds, so put them on a candy dish to display.   Thought they looked so cute.

SNEAK PEEK - Blossom Paper Punch AND Mixed Bunch Stamp Set + Two New Ribbons

Did you notice the flower and the butterfly are the exact same pattern?   I stamped and punched out two of the same pattern, then using paper snips cut out the section on the top and bottom area to create a butterfly.   The stamp set is called Mixed Bunch and I used the Blossom Paper Punch to punch the design out. These are from the new Occasions Mini Catalog.  The fine ribbon is from the Sale-a-bration catalog that will premiere on January 24th.   It is 1/8" Organdy Ribbon in Lucky Limeade.

Using the same stamp set (Mixed Bunch) I stamped a smaller design on the accent pattern and then added in the wonderful new Blushing Bride 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon.

Here's a close-up of the card.   I accented the flower and butterfly with Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details.

Both cards are great examples of paper punch power ... amazing what you can create with a paper punch and some imagination.
