Footprints Card #3

I have a series of 3 cards that I will be posting to my blog.   All 3 used the stamp set called:  Baby Prints, item #125470 - Wood OR item #125472.  It will be available again as of June 1st.    I have had this stamp set for quite a while and never used it, so this last week I started playing with.  I have found that is very a versatile stamp set.

Cherish the Moments sentiment could be used for a baby, a baby announcement, graduation, wedding shower and more.   The tone on tone effect was created using Blushing Bride Classic Ink and Card Stock (this color is retiring as of the 31st).

Foot Prints Card #1

I have a series of 3 cards that I will be posting to my blog.   All 3 used the stamp set called:  Baby Prints, item #125470 - Wood OR item #125472.  It will be available again as of June 1st.    I have had this stamp set for quite a while and never used it, so this last week I started playing with.  I have found that is very a versatile stamp set.

My card above reminded me of wet foot prints in the sand at the beach.   It is a tone on tone (classic ink is the same color as the card stock - in this case I used Crumb Cake).   Then I hand wrote "Life is a beach" on the lower left corner.  I also sponged the edges and over the card to create a bit of a textured effect.

Card could be used for many occasions such as a vacation, honeymoon, thinking of you, memories etc.

Baby Shower Invitation

 This is the outside of the invitation.  All of the animals were stamped on Very Vanilla Card Stock, then punch out with a Scallop Circle Punch, and then color was sponged onto the edges before adhering to the card with dimensionals.  The inside of the card animals were adhered with SNAIL adhesive so that they would remain flat.

You can always swap out the colors to fit the color scheme of the shower.   Since I wasn't sure if it would be for a boy or a girl, I chose the So Saffron which is a soft color (much softer than is shown in my photos).

Happy 24th Anniversary Hal ... I love you!

First, I want to say Happy Anniversary to my wonderful husband, Hal.  Today we have been married 24 years.  He's truly my soul mate, and I love him with all of my heart.

Stampin' Up! has just introduced a new product ... spinner stamp sets and spinners in our Occasions Mini Catalog.  The "Take A Spin" stamp set has 3 circle spinners and 1 square one.   I love the concept and they are so easy to make.  I attached this spinner to a Gate Fold Card.   The card was made using Wild Wasabi and Rose Red for the card stock and classic ink.  I stamped 2 of the circles, one in Wild Wasabi, one in Rose Red.  I cut out the sentiment I wanted to show thru on the Wild Wasabi piece.  Then layered them using SNAIL adhesive.  The spinner is attached with a brad that comes with it.
