Go in the Direction of Your Dreams Card

Word Play Stamp Set, item #120308 - Wood OR item #120651 - Clear

Glimmer Paper comes in 3 color choices:
Champagne, item #127885
Red, item #121790
Silver, item #124005

Each package contains 2 sheets that are 12 x 12.

I used the Oval Accent BigZ Clear Die, item #127005 to cut out the background piece of Glimmer Paper.   The heart was created using the Heart Collection Framelits, item #125599, and the tiny stars were punched out using Punch Pack called Merry Minis, item #126882.

I think this would be a great card for a graduation, new job, and encouragement to try something new.

Imagine The Possibilities Digital Card Front

I'm still trying different techniques with the new My Digital Studio 2.   One of the new features is that you can add in "splatters" of color to a design.   There are a number of different versions/styles to choose from with this option too.  When I started with this card front, it was a blank white canvas so to speak.   Then I added in the background color and started to play with different embellishments, colors and shadows.   It required me to "Imagine the Possibilities" so I thought that sentiment was perfect for this card front.

Did you notice how distinct the scallop heart is?   That is because I added in a black drop shadow.  You can change the colors of the shadow and even blur it in different amounts.

My Digital Studio - Stampin' Up! Supply List:

Background
     Card Stock\Marina Mist

Stamps
    Splatters\Ink Splatters\Ink Splatter 5, Color = RIDING HOOD RED 190,64,75
Word Play\Word Play - imagine whole, Color = BASIC BLACK 19,27,29

Punches
    Hearts\Hearts Collection 2, Fill Color = BLUSHING BRIDE 243,182,177

My goal this week is to give you five days of digitally created cards using My Digital Studio 2.   So there will be one more tomorrow.    My cards this week haven't even touch the tip of the iceberg of what can be created with this program.

When I am printing these at home, I save them as a jpg file, and then print it out on photo quality paper.  The photo becomes my card front which is attached to a card base.  This makes it a "hybrid" card.   Hybird means it is part digital, part traditional.   I could add in ribbons, pearls or other embellishments to accent the card even more.

Just a reminder that Stampin' Up! has a fantastic website set up for MDS2.  It is loaded with training videos and forums.   CLICK HERE.   It seems like there is always someone there to help with questions and answers.   I'm learning so much.   I've been on the site daily.

Imagine the Possibilities - Same Image - Three Techniques.

In this card I wanted to show the different ways you can change the look of a single stamp.

Upper left corner:   Image was stamped with classic ink then accented a Designer Button - Holly Berry Bouquet, item #125636.

Middle right side:  Image was stamped with classic ink, then covered with Crystal Effects, item #101055 (gives a high shine look).  While the Crystal Effects was still wet, I sprinkled on our brand new Mica Flakes, item #124115.   The Mica Flakes are iridescent and are perfect as an accent or for filler in a shaker frame (now shown, item #124155).

Bottom left corner:  Image was stamped with classic ink, then covered with Crystal Effects, item #101055 to give it a lacquer or high shine look.  Rhinestone added to the middle.

Happy 24th Anniversary Hal ... I love you!

First, I want to say Happy Anniversary to my wonderful husband, Hal.  Today we have been married 24 years.  He's truly my soul mate, and I love him with all of my heart.

Stampin' Up! has just introduced a new product ... spinner stamp sets and spinners in our Occasions Mini Catalog.  The "Take A Spin" stamp set has 3 circle spinners and 1 square one.   I love the concept and they are so easy to make.  I attached this spinner to a Gate Fold Card.   The card was made using Wild Wasabi and Rose Red for the card stock and classic ink.  I stamped 2 of the circles, one in Wild Wasabi, one in Rose Red.  I cut out the sentiment I wanted to show thru on the Wild Wasabi piece.  Then layered them using SNAIL adhesive.  The spinner is attached with a brad that comes with it.

Take a Spin Stamp Set, item #121937 - Wood OR item #122015 - Clear Mount.
Game Spinner Hands (pack of 12), item #121893

The circle spinner are a great match with our 2 1/2" circle punch, item #120906, from Stampin' Up!.

The LOVE inside the card is from the "Filled With Love" promotion that is going on until January 24th.
