Tone on Tone Card

I used Crumb Cake Cards Stock with Early Espresso Ink to create this card.   I haven't added a sentiment yet, but think it will be a birthday card.  The Daydream Medallion Stamp Set is a perfect match with the Floral Frames Framelits.

Did you notice the ribbon?   It is the new 7/8" Cotton Ribbon from the Holiday Mini Catalog.   The ribbon is stampable.  I used one of my medallion stamps, but you could use any stamp you wanted.   I used our Classic Ink too.

Halloween Treat Bags - Googly Ghouls And Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit

I made two treat bags last night using Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit, item #126914.   It comes:
20 printed double-sided tags - 10 each of 2 designs
10 glassine bags with die-cut edges:  ea 3" x 5" x 1 1/2"
50 adhesive-backed googly eyes (ea 5 mm)
10 pieces Pumpkin Pie/Whisper White Baker's twine ea 8" (color exclusive to this kit)

I embossed the glassine bags using the Big Shot and the Spider Web Embossing Folder, item #120889.   When I put it thru the Big Shot, I put the platform with 2 tabs up.   Gently open the bag after removing from the embossing folder.   I did accent the stamped label with a small brad.

Scentsational Season Bundle And Card Samples Day 5

 This is the last in my series for Scentsational Season Bundle And Card Samples that begin on my blog last Wednesday, August 15th.  I had such fun creating this card.  I had seen a card made by Shelli Gardner (co-founder and CEO of Stampin' Up!) on her blog, and decided I wanted to give it a try using my own spin of it.   Here's what I came up with:

The hillside was made by ripping Old Olive Card Stock and then using SNAIL Adhesive to adhere it to the card base.  I like the rough edges to it.

Here's my 2nd set of samples using the Scentsational Season Bundle from Stampin' Up!  Additional photos and information started yesterday on my blog.  Card bases are Whisper White and Very Vanilla Card Stock, but you could use any color you wanted.    Card on the left has the "steam" from the hot chocolate, card on the right does not.  Up to you which you want to use.   Each image is cut out with the matching framelit after being stamped, then adhered to the card front with dimensionals to add height and dimension to the card.

The next few days I want to show you some of the cards I made using the Scentsational Season Bundle.  Here are my first samples.  Oh my gosh, I think the little gingerbread man is going to be one of my favorites.   It is so wonderful to have a stamp set and a Framelits set work together or they can be used individually on their own.

To make these cards, I stamped the images on Whisper White Card Stock, then using my Big Shot and the Framelits Dies - Holiday Collection I individually cut out each image.   I added dimension to each one by putting Stampin' Dimensionals underneath.   Trees were stamped with Old Olive, gingerbread man was done with Early Espresso, and the sentiment was Raspberry Ripple.   Wacky Wishes (Hostess Rewards) is the stamp set that the sentiment came from.

Is it a Traditional or Is it a Digital Design ???

I'm going to post two photos of cards I created.   Look at them closely and tell me which one is the traditional card and which one is digital.   There is a bit of a variance in color and elements, but overall both of the cards are using the same layout.

Card #1 is the digital version, and Card #2 is the traditional.   I created the traditional version first using framelits, embossing folder, stamps, and embellishments then challenged myself to make a similar card in MDS2.   Both cards are perfect to wish someone a hearty Congratulations no matter what the occasion.

When I made these cards, I create the card base using Whisper White Card Stock (5 1/2" x 8 1/2") scored on the 8 1/2" side at 4 1/4".   Then I cut out a piece of Raspberry Ripple Card Stock (5 1/2" x 4 1/4") that I put thru the Big Shot and the embossing folder to give it a textured background.     I stamped the sentiment on Whisper White Card Stock and then using the Big Shot cut it out with my framelit.   I really like the new Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack.  It made it so easy to accent the card stock.

Did you noticed the glossy design on the ornaments?   I tried to angle the card so that you could see it on the right side.   It is from the Natural Composition Specialty DSP.   These DSP has glossy, raised patterns that are printed on heavy-weight Natural paper.  Patterns appear brown and glossy.  There are 12 sheets:  2 ea of 6 single-sided designs.   Really fun to use, and it gives a great accent to your card design.
