Easter Basket Using Blossom Paper Punch

All punched out and ready to assemble.

Put together and ribbons added to the sides.

Filled with Easter Eggs

Have you ever seen an idea that you just had to try the minute you saw it?  Well, that's how I felt when I saw the video that Qbee (AKA Brenda) posted to her blog.

I made one immediately, then punched out the items needed for 3 more.   I ran to the store (Easter supplies are now everywhere) to see what I could find that wouldn't be candy.   I'm going to use these as gift items and wanted them to be something that could be kept if the recipient wanted.  These eggs are actually Styrofoam.  I also found many, many candy items that would work well too.

The baskets were so much fun to make.   I tied little ribbons on the sides too using glue dots.  I wouldn't recommend carrying the baskets by their handle.  I consider it a bit more decorative than functional especially if candy is in the tiny basket.   These would make great decorations at each dinner place on Easter.  Could be done in any color too.   Perfect for party favors --- wouldn't need to be just for Easter.
