Christmas Gingerbread Village in Phoenix AZ Part 1

On Wednesday I read about the largest Gingerbread Village in the state of AZ.  The village took over a month to build, weighs over 1250 lbs, was modeled after the village in Willy Wonka movie, and was FREE to the public at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort thru sometime in January.   It was a beautiful day for a ride and Hal had the day off from work, so off we went.

I took many photos so will showcase them over 3 posts.   The hotel was beautifully decorated too.   Hope you enjoy the photos (in person is much better ... but just had to share with all of you).

See the red mailbox ... there was a small table near by for the children who were visiting the hotel to write a letter to Santa and then put it in the mailbox.

Isn't it amazing to think all of this is made from Gingerbread and candy.
