Today I wanted to show you some samples of cards that you can make using leftover materials. I had quite a bit of extra paper so decided to be creative. The pieces had images already punch out of them using scallops, the paper cutter, and other paper punches. I like the effect it gives to the cards. Then I took rubber stamps and filled in the white spaces.
Paper punches are great too for easy cards. The star images above were done using 2 different size star paper punches. The scallop flowers were created using the scallop circle punch and a circle punch.
Also often a simple card can have the same type of impact that a fancy card can have. So I've provided two very simple cards -- using only stamps. I love the large butterfly and the floral stamps. The floral stamps I did use watercolor crayons to enhance the stamped image.
I just recently started using the watercolor crayons from Stampin' Up! and I must say I really like using them.
You can make all kinds of creative cards using scrap materials that you have on hand along with just a few rubber stamps. Let your imagination go wild and see what you can create. I think you will be amazed at what you can create.
Have a great day!
