The Sunflower Card was made with the new In Colors Crushed Curry and Soft Suede, along with Old Olive and To the Nines Speciality Paper (center of the sunflower). The leaves were made with the 5 Petal punch (2 petals were cut for each sunflower) and the fancy border in old olive was done with the eyelet border punch.
Another thumbs up for the New In Colors: Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay and Soft Suede. Are they a perfect combination for this birthday card. The stamp set used on this card is called Party Hearty. If you look really close on the pink (melon mambo) you will see cupcakes stamped with Versamark ink. I glue down my borders on the left then realized I had forgotten to put the bow on them first. So I improvised and did a flat bow on the right. Love the new polka dot ribbon.
On both cards, we used "dimensionals" to get the cut-outs upraised from the card base. Really adds depth and dimension to the card.
Thank you, MaryT. I had so much fun at your open house. You are an inspiration to me too, thank you for getting me involved with Stampin' Up! last August. (Amazing that next month marks 1 full year of being a demonstrator for me.)
