Stair Step Card - Tutorial

Thought it would be fun to do a stair step card. Found that I could easily make one using the same technique (same paper size, same score lines, same panel paper sizes) as my Accordion Fold Card:

http://kreateskards.blogspot.com/2009/05/accordion-fold-card-tutorial-happy.html
Here's the card with all of the panels glued on, and then set on its back to form the stair step effect.

I added in embellishments (flowers, flower punch designs, printed sentiment). Note the support piece on the very back of the card (right side of photo).

The support piece should be heavy weight cardstock. Piece of paper was cut at
4 1/2" x 3". I scored this piece horizontally at 1/2" and 1", then folded and glued the smallest fold area to the card.

Here's another view to show how it is placed/folded.

This is the card folded up ready to be put in the enevelope.

NOTE: These cards will not lay flat on their own. They are meant to be open and displayed. I put mine in plastic protective sleeves that have adhesive on the flap to keep them folded and flat until ready to be mailed.

Hope you enjoyed the tutorial.
