Back to Basics: Creating Card Layers - Sizes

Layering of card stock can add such a great look to any card that you are creating. I typically do mine in 1/2" or 1/4" increments.

Judy Marshall has a post on her blog about layering and she also lists the dimensions needed. I am only going to list part of the information here, so click on the link to view the rest on her blog.

For a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card base:
Layers:
...Layer 1 - 5 1/4" x 4"
...Layer 2 - 5" x 3 3/4"
...Layer 3 - 4 3/4" x 3 1/2"
...Layer 4 - 4 1/2" x 3 1/4"

I know you will find this information very helpful in your card creation. Judy has all different size card and their layers posted on her blog, please take a minute to see what she has posted by clicking here.
